The option to offer your guests a Mini African Extravaganza is now available in the Hoedspruit area.

Maureen Lahoud Show Distributors has created a touring show which allows your guests to enjoy an African experience through song and dance.

“Roots of Rhythm” is a dynamic 50 minute show which includes a kaleidoscope of rhythms, dance steps, singing, drumming, music and costumes and has been designed to avoid the repetitive element of the normal African show format.

It traverses from the rural villages and tribal warrior across to the gumboot miners and Sofia town City Jive.

The “Hollywood” style interpretation of Africa allows the guests to enjoy a wider spectrum of the African Cultures without losing the flavour of the African Traditions.

Inspired by the world acclaimed “African Footprints” and “Umoja” our show avoids the monotonous song and dance typical of tribal rituals. The show can be divided into 4 parts if the occasion demands show interludes, rather than a complete non-stop performance.  The format and the performers are flexible to the required demands.

The group of 10 performers are residents of the vicinity near and around Acornhoek, who had the privilege to perform for the President’s Welcome held at Kapama Lodge in September 2008.  The price of a performance will vary according to the distance from Acornhoek and the regularity of the reservations made.
